Hi All,
Here's my 1300 Allegro series 3 with the K100 twincam supercharged A series (A+) engine. The picture was taken when the car was parked @ the rear of the flats where I live. I've now had it towed to an industrial unit near my flat so will be able to put in some serious time sorting it regardless of the (rainy) weather! & at night too!

That looks cracking. Any shots of the car.

As I said earlier, a dump valve of some sort will help with your of throttle problems.

Hi,
Yes I have a dump valve fitted now which seems to work sometimes but when it does'nt it blows the hoses off etc, I've tried adjusting it but the results are spurrios, ie sometimes it dumps sometimes it don't.

I've been told that a turbo dump valve doesn't act quickly enough for a supercharger, mmmaybe an old wives tale?
What's this recurculating dump valve setup? Any info would be nice :)

Hi

yes, I think suck thru is the way to go for simplicity, That's how the Bini is set up. It has a 'fly by wire' setup using a potentiometer to give throttle control so I ordered a 52mm Mpi throttle body so I can attach a throttle cable.

Someone suggested a throttle before & after the supercharger, any thoughts on that?

I'm willing to try anything if it works, I mean my minds not set on doing anything in a particular way so long as it works. *smiley*

I love the idea. I was planning on a k1100 motor in a metro until i found the turbo and sold the engine.

However being the stickler for detail i'd have to get rid of those joiner pieces and sand bend a nice gentle radiused piece of alu pipe. But thats because i work on expensive racing cars where only the best will do.

Have you posted on the wrong thread, this is not a picture of a sister, it is of an Allegro. Having had an Allegro while I was a student I have a soft spot for them, but Nic you need to stay in or you will be getting arrested.

I thought all the joiners made it look a bit technical *happy*
I used all those joiners to mock it up, having never done anything like this before I had to make it up as I went along, I thought the joiners would enable me to create a gradual sweep to connect to the intercooler which I didn't know where it was goin to be able to fit into the engine bay, if you catch my drift.
Not only that but it needs a little bit of flex, because the intercooler is mounted (on rubbers) to the body-work whereas the ducting will move with the engine.

If anybody fancies a look at an Allegro (to buy) have a look here www.allegroclubint.org.uk there are a few worth a look & they're normally fairly cheap (compared to the price of a decent Mini). Most are well looked after so you could bag a bargain 8-)

You just use turbominis.co.uk, you log in then use "my photographs" on the RH top corner.

There is also a thread explaining how to post pictures.

I don't know where, I used the search button ...

If you attach pics to a post i think there is a size limit,

you need to upload the pics to a host server (i use photobucket as it has the img link there for copying all the time)
