I assume it is one of the short stroke 1275s and not a long stroke 998 by the power figures?

The one in the piccys so far also has a carb....

It will be interesting to see your intended fuel injection setup (that you mentioned in the earlier threads).

Looks a good project though.

That's an odd statement Gary.

Benjamin has 140hp from his 1098.

If you have a nice amount to spend, id seriously think about reading this website (alot) and doing a fair amount of research before blowing it on things that are either expensive or shit. Check out alot of the builds on here and gauge your ideas from there. Just my 2pence worth. Wish i had a nice budget to work with

Good luck anyway

Mike

1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

Yes but I thought 87hp at 4 psi and 101hp at 8 psi sounded a little high for an engine so uninclined to rev

I would tend to agree that 87 at 4psi is maybe optermistic, but this is why be say bananas rather than bhp on this forum.

I'm sure it's fun whatever it has.

No offence ment but i dont see spending inheritance on a car (any car) is a wise move

i am interested in this clutchless gearbox, how do you start and stop? or are you meaning the box will shift clutchless? who makes it?

Its you money so why not!

Not something i would do thats all, i see investing in my retirement as more important, my wages will pay for the mini and keep the money going into the mini at a sensible level, buying all the best stuff does not buy you the best mini theres plenty of people on here with budget cars whos efforts and cars i really admire, i have spashed some cash recently but am hopeing to keep to a sensible budget for the rest of the engine build

However i do look forward to seeing your big buck build its nice to see how different people tackle the problems associated with charging the a series

much apllied. i knw where your coming from and im not spending it all on the mini. i run a small online shop where i sell brand new mini spares so ill invest some into that for future $$ intake..

break from the build for a week. wait for the k.a.d, minispares and minisport packages to arrive..

This was the car trying to run boost with no plenum a while back was it not? pipe straight into the carb? With what looks like a n/a carb which hasnt at liest been boxed in?

this is the car and it works fine without the plenum. have only just stripped it down after 6 months road/weekend use at 4-8psi. went fine. na carb yes, modified to suit boost. bdd needle profiled, hifturbo jet, pressurized float bowl.

I guess he is referring to a dog box, not something for the road.
