brocky, thats a clean turbo.. i noticed your other stuff for sale has been sandblasted, has the turbo been sandblasted too?

The turbo was originally intended for my own project mini. I have since come across a complete metro turbo car with very very low miles...which I intend to strip as a doner. For the turbo in question, I took all pecautions in sealing all the orifices, steam cleaned it and then sodium blasted it taking care around the gasket areas.
The turbine housing, manifold and exhaust were then refinished with very high heat proof paint. The shaft no apparent axial play and radial play with in the limits specified in the back of haynes as it should when the oil is not pressure feed into the jounnal bearing.

y i'm after a bolt-on good one that i can use stright away OR will come apert WITHOUT bloody bolts and studs shearing. I have a full recon kit here waiting to be used but getting the bloody things apart seems to be the shitty bit.

Well I don't want to take my good one off ebay as there are few bids on it now.
I do have however another one that needs new oil seals if you want to make me an offer, I can take the manifold and exhaust elbow off if you already have them.

also, whats the contdition of the nuts and studs etc?

I will have to take some photos tomorrow, I think the nuts and bolts are fine, as it go sprayed with WD when it put it in the barn.
It spins up fine its just on tick over at the lights it was a bit embaressing !!
You mentioned you had sheared some bolts, have you got a set of stud extractors?or a good machine shop who could drill and retap the housings for you. You can still get the higher spec bolts from rover I think. Well I bought a bag a couple of years ago.

Whats the big hurry anyway ?

i just want to get it done asap! Got to have it done b4 L2B this year.

I know the feeling, my new shell is completely bare, i mean completely... no loom, fuel or brake lines, column. or pedal box. I've blasted and painted both sub frames and fitted hi los and nylon bushes through o ut. I still need tocut the bulkhead but I've made a nice big box though. and have a clubman flip front to cover a front mounted rad, cosworth intercooler and oil cooler.

I'm after some adjustable shockers if you know of anyone?
