hi just wondering how difficult it is to change a clutch and gearbox as i figure its best to change these before going on a power hike, has anyone posted a rough guide before? saw this link http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.php?p=vt&tid=3502 bit confused about machining the backplate lugs is this necessary?

This backplate mod is only really needed for very high power engines.
Basically, the 'grey' diaphram is rated at something like 120lb ft torque. It takes around 130-150 with a new plate. Much over this, and it slips. Shortening the lugs basically compresses it a little more. Only needed if you have a problem with a grey slipping - which I reckon is a 18+psi issue with a T3, or a 14+ psi issue on a T2. If you're under this, you shouldn't have a problem.

(all aproximate figures! LOL!!!)
