There you go, 7.11mm according to Fabrice's data.

I measured mine when I was test assembling it to machine the backplate lugs and it was slightly over that but I could only measure it un-clamped.

its a new build steve, mini spares light weight verto and an rts,
the spring only gets compressed by about 2mm when the cover is bolted to the flywheel, ( i have a semi used verto sprung pressure plate in there for mocking up its about 7.5mm thick)
the spring is along way off being flat

Does the same logic for the conventional clutch (ie, spring being flat) apply to a verto, especially an rts version ???

i have a question. how do i know when my clutch is too worn to reuse? i have a 6paddle ap clutch plate and i need to skim it as it has some grooves in it. so do the backplate and flywheel. if i skimmed them would it all still work?
