change it to a better turbo ? lol

Timing, fuel, boost control setup, wastegate actuator etc can all make a difference

9.85 @ 145mph
202mph standing mile
speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will

Which T3 is it? Sounds ok for a standard metro unit.

They do feel laggy even more so when on low boost as there isnt a very big kick!

?
you can make it recirculating to the compressor inlet if you don't want tit to be noisey

That would be the last possible reason I'd ever have a turbo. First would be to make power.
And a BOV will make no difference whatsoever to spool rpm.

Depending on actuator, a weak one or one not pulled up tight enough could crack open earlier making it lazier to build boost.

As could wrong fuelling, wrong timing etc etc

true, true, sometimes i like the lagg on my t3 as it comes in all at once and feeeels great! as for spooling quicker like people have said those are the main options except getting a smaller turbo

Your dumpvalve, if your taking his vaccum from the inlet manifold, will see vaccum when your not on boost, thus let your compressor speeding to free atmosphere before shutting the valve, I've used this mod a la priority breather valve on my big k16 with good effect.

I wouldn't mind a 25hp kit for the van :)
Either that or a better turbo!

Increase the CR?

Might have little affect on spool times, but will help the car feel less laggy.

In the 13's at last!.. Just

Laughing gas is the only proper answer !!

Go for it - you can only blow the engine.

i had an idea a couple of years ago about mixing liquid oxygen in with fuel? or injecting it. would that work or would it just melt the engine as if it had thermite in there?

pretty much the thermite route,

Nitrous oxide is 1/3 oxygen 2/3 Nitrogen, apparently the nitrogen acts as a coolant and using just O2 would not be good!

if iy's about the engine getting hot, you are certainly not using enough advance , it will also help ith your boost feling. though be carefull with this.too much and byby.
