Clubman colour help

Just wanting a few ideas and opinions from people really, my clubman is getting near the primer and paint stage and im undecided on a colour, im not sure if to go something retro which will work on a clubman, or something modern off of any car? i want it to draw some attention when its at shows but not be to in your face. And none of this stupid flip or pearl colours. The clubman has miglia arches and supertrax wheels in satin black, any help is appreciated.

i thought about the white used on the focus rs as that is a real bright white and would work well, i also looked at bracken as thats quite retro, thought about russet but dont know if it will work with the arches and wheels

No offence but it's your car so why not have a look through Mini Mag or something at different paint colours and decide what colours YOU like

I'll overlook the comment about pearl paints.

Couldn't agree more. but choosing a coulour it a tricky business, and if you can blame the choice on someone else then it'll make you feeel better when you've wasted £1k on a spray job!

Well, i think minis carry solid colours miles better than metalic/pearls

Focus rs is frozen white and as said white is the new black, but thats just the fashon at the moment, another 18months + it will just be a white mini so if your planning on keeping it choose somthing you like not whats in fassion now.

Ive allways been a fan of tahiti blue, and i also like the earlie silver coopers with black roof.

But has been said its your decition.
I must admit i do think its hard especially if you can choose ANY colour.

Clubman, Miglia arches and black wheels (albeit matt black Starmags)... I went for Tartan Red + Black.

im really tempted by the poo brown but im not sure what it would look like with the wide arches, the cost isnt a problem as it will only be the materials and my time as im a car sprayer by trade, i do like some of the two tone minis but im not sure what it looks like on clubmans

It's all about personal preference I suppose. My Clubby will be sprayed in two colours, it's taken me close to a year to decide on the exact shades of colour I wanted but then I like eye catching and different stuff, that's why I think it should be a choice you make yourself.

The best looking clubman Ive ever seen was a pea green sort of colour, apparently it was a standard colour and it looked stunning

Yep, John it is the dipped shell it has progressed a bit since those pictures, but not much!
