Hey people.
Just after some advice before i go and potentially waste money. I would love to fit some nice carbon or kevlar wrap around bucket seats into my Mini, Sparco, Corbeau or Recaro types, and i know that there is the slim version and the wide version of each availiable. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to fit a pair of slim type wrap around bucket seats into a classic mini.

Any help or advice is much appreciated :)

Yes it is but they will have to be standard width to fir a pair of them and the cars ive seen with a pair in have had them staggered as opposed to exactly side by side.Ive seen cars with corbeau revolutions and cobra evolutions but not sure about any others.

Something else to think about is your cage if you have one and where you want the seat to sit position and height wise as this effects what you can fit in massively. For example my seat position and cage setup gives me about 50-60mm less room than if the seat was a few inches forward,if it was near the standard position I would have more room again.

Best option in my mind if you want a wrap around is to have one for the driver and a smaller seat for the passenger, think madmk1 on here runs this setup if you want to see some pictures.

Cheers Ross.

Thanks to Rosco, Mikerace and G13B for the helpful information.

I have a Safety Devices 6 point cage with a harness bar Rosco. I suppose i wont really know if they will fit until i bite the bullet and buy a pair :(

Mike, are you saying that Dave Kimberley has tried two wrap around seats??? If so i will call him as he was very helpful with my last query.

Thanks Billus89 :(

It is possible to work out if they will fit without the seats but you need to know exactly where you want to mount it and a dimension drawing with all the sizes on but its a bit of a pain in the arse.

If you just have a basic cage and your not putting them really far back then the limiting factor will probably be the width of the wings on the seats.

Cheers Ross.

H mate this was a right pain in the tits,
the things i had to think about was
1. The cage
2. The seat (can they fit in the car and CAN I GET IT)
3.The seat mounts
4.The floor mounts

have a look on my page mate for some pics. http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.p...d=294168&fr=125

hope this helps

Many thanks again Ross.

Cheers Mk1 for your advice, am i right in saying that the reason you didnt fit two wrap arounds was because it was just too tight a fit for the seats? Or was it impossible to get into the car with two?

when you say wrap around seats as in (evo) O/S well i started off with what i could fit in to. Then as for the N/S as all my mates are not skiny i went for a seat that fat lads can sit in lol

also the evo is shit on long runs as my legs go dead well bad lol
