ok decided to start with the gearbox and gonna build it myself but if anyone can help that would be great, was thinking of uprated diff pin and minispares cross pin diff, with straight cut gears and central oil pick up, bit confused about all the lingo drops need uprating etc, if someone could post a pic with it all labeled 1st to 4th etc etc i would really appreciate it, also i'm gonna use 10" wheels does the diff play a part in the final drive or is this calculated purely on the gear ratios (also what ratios are best) sorry about all the questions but this is the best place for answers as no-one tries to sell you anything and everyone seems nice unlike most other forums cheers |

The diff makes the greatest difference in the overall gear ratio.

i run the standard ratio 3:2 fd on 13s at the moment

yeah i prefer the 3.2 for a good balance all round of acceleration and top end, im also on 13's at the minute. On 20th Oct, 2015 Tom Fenton said:
