Hi

Although I have the lower bulkhead mod done for the turbo, on the top half there is no hole that I have seen in other minis that lets the carb/plunem fit, (I bought the shell like this and I presume late minis didnt have the hole?)

Whats the best way to get round this ? Just cut a hole? How should I fill the hole afterwards?

Cheers

If you have an adjustable top engine steady you may be able to tilt the engine far enough forward to give clearance ?

And if that doesnt work, use an even bigger hammer !!

I wouldnt tilt the engine forward. Oil will gather on top of the valve guides and be more prone to sneaking down and getting burnt ( and being smokey )

Check out the pic I posted in this thread.

You could do something similar, but smaller if necessary.

Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

You dont have an engine steady fitted! the engine will always sit back a little without evn a standard one

i dont have the hole there, my engine is tilted forward ever so slightly and is solid mounted with some of carls adjustable rose bushed steadys there is about 10mm clearance
