Argon/CO2 mix (Argoshield if you go to BOC) will give better results on thinner stuff like car panels.

Nice one thanks, i'll note that down, boc is where i'll be going. And not 100% where i'll be getting my regulator from as i need a few bits so i might buy one where i can get all the other bits at the same time.

i weld with argoshield these days, but i preferred CO2 for migging mild steel over argon, just seemed to weld nicer, but thats when i was learning, probably be a different matter now though :) turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

I always use just CO2 for mild steel, I have used CO2/argon mix before, but it didn't seem to weld any different tbh. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fusion-Fabri..._homepage_panel

i think the weld is a bit cleaner with the co2/argon mix - but co2 is fine. |

Argoshield light for me,although at the moment im using up half a bottle of "linde corgon" that came with my welder. Its a slightly different co2/argon mix and seems much the same as the argoshield to be honest.

I,ve always used what I have available as it seems it relies on technique as much as the sheilding gas.
