I saw a picture on here a while back of a mini with a digital dash fitted. No I know about the usual ones that people fit like Acewll ect and they are all pretty small but this one looked loads bigger and IIRC was eitehr sqaure or rectanglar in shape. Basically it did not look like the regular ones that people fit and at a guess would be a lot more expensive.

Just wondering if my description jogs anybodies memory about where I saw this picture?

Cheers guys but no it was much bigger than that. If anything I would guess it was probably like a race dash or something but im pretty sure it was either square or rectanglular!

It was on a thread with a load of dashes in it so ive been going back through them to see if i can spy it again but ive ben unsuccessful!

Ive have looked at the race technologies ones and that may be it but im not sure.

Ive got a real bad feeling that teh one I saw was in the background of a picture that someone posted in a for sale thread. So i cant search by title as the thread probably had had nothing to do with dash at all doh!!!

Looks like I may have to spend a few days going back through all the for sale threads although I can start from last year as i know it was before christmas I saw it!

Nope definatley bigger than all of those. To be honest im guessing it was somhting similar to that you might find in a F1 car so probably thousands of pounds but it did look sweet. Ive trawled through a years worth of posts now and still cant find it so I might have to give up.

May be it was an 8-10" LCD or LCD touch screen connected to say a micro-ITX form factor computer running a custom display. They cost a few £100 to put together, run Linux and some sort with tuning software (for example MegaTunix). They can have other capabilities too i.e. data logger, video logger, GPS, etc.

There is a guy over on the 16v forums that made one:

Stoke-on-Trent. Duck.

It's unlikely, but might be one of these from the States? I've seen somebody on here (or maybe Mini Worldgazine) with one fitted. Not really rectangular though so i suspect you've seen something else

I'm running an 80mm Stack tacho with integrated speedo, volts, etc. to try and keep things clutter-free.

Dave.
