Hi, took my crank in for what i thought would be the best option nitriding from what i have read, then he chucked aload of stuff at me which clearly showed my lack of knowledge, how much do i want on, where, does the tapper need doing aswell as the pulley end, then it would need grinding after, then he said tufriding could be a better option and would only need polishing rather than grinding. Any help of advice on which way to go. :icon_scratch:

You need a steel crank to have it nitrided.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.
