I've got my car for sale on auto trader and I've had a strange response from a potential buyer:

could you try and tell him to send a cheque made payable to you. tell him to send your cheque to your work address so that he still doesnt have your address and then when the payment has gone through let him come and collect it, that way he has no way of reclaiming hs money? The turbo build has finally started |

Ah thought it was too good to be true. I'm gonna forward it to auto trader and keep my fingers crossed for a genuine buyer and not these scrotes. |

could easily be a stolen card onthe other end of the paypal account, so you may not get screwed but some one els will be! |

Is the "www.paypal.com" link in the response obscured and actually a link to a site that looks like the paypal web site? But in fact it's a site phishing for your identity so they can thieve it and whatever is in your paypal account. :/ |
