I'm in the Market for a set of dampers, so I thought I'd ask the question and see if they would be interested in doing a group buy discount for dampers and coilovers. The answer was yes! To get a good discount I need at least five sets to be ordered.

They are made from aluminium as standard but they've said they'll make them from steel if required.

They make them to order, and lead time is 2-3 weeks. They make standard and lowered height or you can have them custom built to spec.

They retail as follows;

Standard height dampers £50 each
Lowered height dampers £50 each
Standard coilovers £90 each without springs
Offset coilovers £90 each without springs

I've been asked not to advertise the discounted price, so please contact me for details. But rest assured it's a good deal!

Once ordered I can collect them And arrange to post to people, or we van meet at a show somewhere.

I'm definitely interested, i need a pair of rear coilovers and pair of front dampers (lowered type). Do they sell the springs?

What's the difference (not the obvious) between standard lowered?

PM on the way, but put me down for a full car set of either standard or lowered dampers.

do they do a full car set for a Nissan 200SX S14a including springs?

They don't make them there, they use a supplier in Yorkshire. They have said that they can supply them at a good saving if we wanted them, I'll get a some details...

I've just spoken with them about dimensions,

They can make anything we like from 10" to 24" in half inch increments! They said they'd let me know on Monday the actual sizes they would normally make.

For coilovers the springs are normally £22 each, there may or may not be discount on that cost, I'll know more later next week.

For information the springs I/D are 44.6mm, O/D are 60mm.

I bought a set of these that were custom designed for my one-off ADO-16 project. Unfortunately for him (the guy that designed the setup)...and good for me, his car was hit by another driver about 1500 miles into testing and basically destroyed. I know the fellow at Pro-Tech really went the extra mile to get these done right as mine are far from standard. Also, here is the spring company that was used...

And my setup going in.... :cool: Sooo glad to be getting rid of the hydro suspension! My subs are at the welder right now getting custom mounts made by a suspension engineer/fabricator.

I would be interested in extra lowered rear coilovers offset if they come with springs, do they say about spring rates at all?? I know most places the springs are too hard for lightened minis.

They don't make struts so something like a Nissan is a no go, unless you convert to coilovers then it is a possibility.

I'm after some rear dampers, i have the fronts already but i don't know if they are standard or lowered..

i didnt realise that they did standard and lowered heights?? i thought they were height adjustable??

But i'd be interested in a seat of rear dampers for sure if i find out what i have on the front :)

Jamestar, pro tech make them to suit you. I've just advertised as standard or lowered as it makes it easier! If you take one off and measure compressed and extended length that should tell you which it is
