i know this has been asked before,had a look on the old posts but not really too clear. ive got a round nose mini,and want to fit a rs series 2 intercooler,any ideas where i can put it? dont fancy making holes in the bonnet.

ideally id like it behind the grill, just worried about clearance between cooler and the block,not having enough room for pipes.

what do most people do for brackets???

or rs cooler fitted,give me an idea of wheres best etc

Have you got an RS cooler? if so just give it a push in there! lol!

Miniwilliams uses one i think but not 100%

ahh yeah i see,that looks like a good place,did the intercooler make much difference in power on normal boost? or do you have to turn the boost up to get any difference?

love engine bays like this when painted up and clean even though theres pipes all over!lol

nice job jim.

does it make much difference when putting a cooler on and keeping the boost at 7psi? or will i need to crank her up??

stuart gurr says i can run 12psi with the cooler mounted properly.

i've never run without an intercooler, but the difference between 7psi and 15psi is huge

here's mine dude, i drilled a few holes in the bonnet for it though. bonnet's for sale if you want it...lol *wink* ive got a cossie cooler going in when i put the engine back in thats all.

Who had the S2 intercooler mounted upright infront/above the clutch housing?
I recall it was a green car with 40mm silver tubes... One of the nicest install's I've ever seen...

yeah i remember that one, didn't he make the pipes out of some old motorbike exhaust pipes? it did look good though, like it grew there :)

what sort of paint can you use on them? can you spray the fins aswell or not???

brush smooth hamerite or aerosole?
