Am in the market for an electric water pump, have spoken to a number of suppliers how only seem to stock Davies Craig pumps, which i understand to lack reliability.

I'm running a turbo'd 8v twink with a fiat cinqucento front rad. I require something to replace the standard belt driven pump. |

I've used davis craig pumps before and had no problems. A lot of "unreliability" can come from a few failures and internet forum chatter. I doubt that anyone has tested a large enough sample to arrive at a reasonable MTBF. My suggestions would be, in order of preference:

Jamie there is plenty of info on this site about flow and suspect failures.

Have searched through the threads, just wondered if anyone had any specific thoughts on the pump in question above.

Also, have been looking at turbo daves, just seeing if there is a cheaper alternative as i would have to make up new hose adaptors as i'm running 1 1/4" hoses. |

i have a johnsson cm30 pump, will try that togheter with a china rad on my swift motor, there is a flow chart in the link, looks similar to the bosch one

Im using a Meziere pump, it pumps 80lts/min and is just fine. Well has been for the last 4-5k (since fitted).
