seen them on ebay (the ones that replace the curved section) but they are like ?40, what alternatived are there? Was thinking of cutting it off before the bend and welding a bead around it to help keep the pipe on. Any other ideas?

Hows it going Mike,

I am thinking that I need to cut down the transfer pipe which comes up from the turbo to get the silicone 90 deg elbow in which I intend to use anyway. Then I am just gonna get a flat ali plate and tig the cut off bit into it as per the steel ones on ebay
*tongue*ersonalCarsMGTurboPlenumsadapter%20plate.tif" border="0" class="forumImage" OnLoad="if(this.width > 640) {this.oldWidth=this.width;this.oldHeight=this.height; this.width=640; this.title='Click Here to view the full size image';}" onmouseover="if(this.title) this.style.cursor='pointer';" onClick="if(this.title) {window.open('C*tongue*ersonalCarsMGTurboPlenumsadapter%20plate.tif','','scrollbars=1,toolbar=0,resizable=1,menubar=0,directories=0,status=0,height='+(this.oldHeight+20)+',width='+(this.oldWidth+20) );}" border="0" />

Then weld a bead onto the shortened transfer pipe

Cheers Brocky

BTW - I took my buddy VTEC Pete out for a spin this weekend, and even though I am running her in, he gave it a name, the "Brocket"...cause I'm a brocket maaannn, nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah....

Mike,

If you can make the plate and cut the pipe, I can get it TIG welded up or you.

cut the bend off the plenum and cut 2 in off turbo out let , weld back reveresed then you have a straight into the plenum and 90 on the turbo outlet - simple if you can weld ally -
