A couple of past events: Sprint at Crystal Palace (somewhere around 1999), and an MGCC Trial at Burton Dasset (around 2003)...

Yes, it's back up to a more normal height now - it never got stuffed back down after the trialling escapades. And I did run the side pipe with it lowered too - I had always found it was the under axle pipe that bottomed first - except over speed humps where the cherry bomb used to get scraped...

RIGHT. So a few months of little activity - now starting to make some (slow) progress with fitting a T2 and an overdue engine rebuild.
I have a selection of T2's - from a standard R5GT item to a Stage 2 version. For now going for an aircooled T2 off a diesel Citroen Xantia with a R5GT turbine housing (it's aircooled, and has a slightly larger - 55 trim - compressor).
This is going to hang off a Metro manifold, with a 10mm spacer tapering down to match the T2 turbine inlet. I am using the T3 stud positions, having redrilled the holes in the T2 housing. On the turbine outlet side, I have had a flange machined up into which I have welded my existing 2" downpipe (which snakes down beside the gearbox and out through the bottom of the transmission tunnel).
Photos show outlet flange, comparison of T3 & T2 turbos (much smaller & 2.7 kg lighter), and finally my downpipe on the T3...
