Alright chaps, not one for posting much on here more of a reader, but just wanted to show you my latest purchase (proud of this one). Noticed the advert boxing day and was in my ownership by Wednesday. Its a 1990 mk2 golf gti 16v genuine big bumper model. Done 150,000 but has had the engine rebuilt and re-mapped by TSR performance in april 2006 (well respected company), quite a rare colour (royal blue/shwarz blue), has lived the high life by the looks with quite a few enthusiasts/petrolheads owning it, fair chunk of history/recepts. Its had quite a bit of loving and will be getting more from me . Already on coliovers (as you can tell) and 4-1 tubular exhaust manifold with straight thru miltek exhaust system (sounds unreal), apart from that its factory original. Got the mk2 bug now always wanted one.

Couldn't get many pics due to the showers we had yesterday but managed to snap a few, this one being the best.

Very nice, i dont know if its me but is it lower at the back than the front? The guy who has the garage next to mine has a mint mk2 gti in red lovely car, his is compleatly standard!

Cheers chaps, it is near enough mint, theres been a few that have cropped up when ive been looking that have been the same condition wise but not in this colour and price.

I love that. I have always wanted a 16v big bumper in 3 door. I think it would have to be red though, it is somehow the most nostalgic colour for me, it is how I remember them from the early 90s before I was old enough to appreciate much beyond the looks and colour of a car!

Brought it off a chap in Basinstoke eden. It was going to be a choice between this colour or tornado red, it was which one cropped up first really. But I did want this colour TBH, far too many reds and whites.

I am aware about my large collection of cars, at least im not as bad as that chap in retro rides the one month, 20 cars! all insured and taxed/mot'd!

I was selling the red mini anyways before I even had the golf.

I was wondering if I'd seen that, but it's probably only 10 miles away. it looks nice, takes me back *ahh*

I saw a Mk2 flog the other day with a set of Minilites on it, wondered if they were your/Alexes old ones.

I always wanted an oak green mk2.
