I might regret this post, but oh well!:$

Apparently this has been discussed lots, I have tried searching the archives but couldn't seem to find the answer.

I know you all say the Megajolt connection for the MAP sensor has to be after the butterfly but why can't you use the original point that the dizzy vacuum advance/ retard used to use on the Turbo carb???

Surly it is in the right place to sense boost and vacuum or surely the orginal turbo dizzy wouldn't work properly??

Also what would be the effect of connecting the Megajolt to the original point on the carb? Rough running incorrect timing??

Waiting for all the abuse about using the search button! :)

the thing is the throttle interferes with that port, if you look at the way the carb controls the vacuum just off idle and at part throttle you will understand what i mean, it does not give correct 'read-out' of the manifold pressure it is used to control the vacuum advance on a mechanical dizzy

it may be adequate enough ( and i have used it) but if you want to take advantage of the technology fit it correctly
