Dont know if anyone on here has seen this car or heard about it but what a fantastic piece of engineering. Brilliant noise and speed. Amazing what lengths people go to to build a car.

I believe the guy who drives/own it Georg plasa died in a crash last year.

Yeah not very nice, think he'd been doing it for years. This was a new project.

Hill climbing seems to be massive wherever that is. Loads of videos of hill climbing abroad with loads of people watching.

Does anyone know what caused the accident? Stuck throttle, LF suspension failure (sparks on the video)? I read about this last year but this is the first time I've seen the video. Has me wondering what the cause was wonder what the FIA said about it.

I dont know the real circumstances, but i have heard that it was a driver failure. There were two track sections, that look nearly equal. Perhaps he had to be confused. Georg was a very well versed and perfectionist driver. And human...

Another problem was, that the seatbelt was broken. The speed was nearly 200km/h.

I have seen him once at a hillclimb race. It was very very impressive!!!

A lot of deacceleration in a short space.

I suppose its down to luck in the end. Ive seen some much much worse crashes than that and the driver has simply climbed out and walked away.

I think he might have blacked out at the wheel? looks a pretty bad crash to me. He doesnt even turn in!

Looks to me like a front left suspension failure. All guesswork as it seems the car was sufficiently destroyed to make it impossible to find out. Brings home the fact that it doesn't matter what roll cage you have, or if you have your lucky rabbits foot in you pocket, if you come to a stop from high speed that quickly the G will kill you.
