Hi

Got my mates gearbox and we carnt get the pot off the diff.

I assume the clip has broken? How do I go about removing it?

before I use my bl service tool

I normally clamp the box to the floor and use a crow bar -_- try slide it off that way

yep large crowbar about 4ft long is how i deal with stuck pots

I've got the proper Churchill tool for removing pot joints (though a sensibly placed crowbar does just as well) and every so often I get one that just won't come off.
Turn the joint 180° and try again - if it's lined up wrong the circlip can fall down deeper intot he groove and noting will get it to shift.

Metric is for people who can't do fractions.

blunt chisel and hammer straight in between the side case and back of pot joint.

You arent trying to hammer the joint off, just use the taper of the chisel to price the two apart.

9.85 @ 145mph

speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will
