Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

right gents, last week one of my engines ended up on john sleath rolling road, johns rollers are well conservative! not the sort you put a dolls pram on and get 3 hp, *laughing*

john and ap bellamys metro van made 174 hp @ 17 pound off boost on these roller.

this engine made 186.3 hp @ 16.5 pounnds off boost and a massive 190 ft pounds of torque @ little over 4k
we though it was enough and did not want to push it further especially john sleath as he already broke 2 engines earlier in the week , with som scooby boys and he was a little nervouse.

its a 5 porter 1380 with gt1752 what do you thing gents
the car is absolutley balistic on the road i had ride in it and i nearly ended up with an anal prolaps*frown*
EDIT:- Vidio of power run 147 hp @13 psi of boost

quite pleased, apart from the near anal prolapse

were not after massive all out hp its how the car drives and feels what we were after, notice the nice power spread from 4k to a little over 6 k

Its nice and consistent with the vans engine allowing for the extra ccs. It should be a rocket!

well impressive.. i'm shure it's pretty nippy :)

when does the boost start to kick in ? any power below 3,5 k?

That sir, is not rust, it is the progressive mass reduction system

sir young the boost comes in @ 1800 rpm and all the way up,

the cams a phase 2 on a billet timed in @107 the reason is the owner wanted the engine with lots of low down grunt, which he got it lights the wheels up in every gear,

just goes to show that if the cam was set at 110 or 111 the power whould have been nearl 200 hp or just over forsaking the btm end power

heres a vidio of a power run @ 147 hp at only 13 psi of boost

Cracking graph. Impressive figures for the boost.

I think you would need about 20psi to hit 200 tbh. However it would be interesting to see what difference it would make with the cam at 110 degrees. I would expect it might just hold on until 7k *smiley*

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

It's a pretty good comparison to the van actually, 1380 is roughly 8% more displacement than van had and this motor made about 7% more power & torque than the van had on 1/2psi less boost.

It's a much nicer looking graph than the van though
