I bet it's not that tall. A 2.9 is 20mph per 1000rpm, so 9k would get you 180 mph.

I suspect that you have to be gentle in 1st on salt flats to avoid digging a hole.

A very well done seemed all calm for 156mph.. There seems to be a false floor on the drivers side? I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

As will pointed out, 2.95FD is all that's needed - but given the rev drops between each gear (note that 1>2 loses traction before it shifts) and it is clear this is running a very close ratio gearkit with the 2.1 first gear ratio... Makes you wonder if it would have been better with a 2.3, or maybe a 2,54 to have provided higher initial acceleration... On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:

Looks like the salt is bloody difficult to drive on, gets out of shape at one stage while he is slowing down and he isnt even touching the brakes !
