How are you mounting these? Its all a bit tight, and i don't want to go hacking the brackets off it before i know the best way to mount it!

Pictures would be greatly appreciated!:)

Cheers
Dan.

Ah ok Benny, and you didn't have issues with the boost hoses coming off? Was that set up with a T3?

boost hose came off the start with, but thats just because i cut the take off down too short, tom fenton built it up and put a bead around the edge and never had a problem again upto 18psi, never rattled or knocked either.

these are my mountings mk1, i changed the 2 tubes for a sheet of ally that extended from the head studs to the slam panel mainly to help reduce heat soak. squashed tubes are literally screwed into the intercooler

the whole intercooler sits on/ bolts to the sheet ally in the last pic but now thats broke i will go back to the initial design with the tubes and some fibreglass ducting the whole intercooler will be essentially in its own little world *happy*, air in the front and out the top

Been thinking I might drop mine right down where the number plate is and have the outlets coming straight out sideways so as not to foul the subframe but not got further then that.

Also mine has modded end tanks. So the rad side is vertical. It seems it will be blooming tight with regards to shutting the bonnet! As i have a riser plate on the thermostat too. *oh well*

Get a different cooler then, or modify the end (again) and route the pipework through the inner wing?

I don't know - It was done as a part of a bigger job, and it was also done with a bit of wheeler-dealering *wink*
