I asked this a while ago I think its on my Build thread ill take a look but I've blocked mine off with a 14mm grub screw |

At high pressure it lets unfiltered oil back into the engine, most of what you read says block it as you never want unfiltered oil.
I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

yep I have an DNS billet jobbie oil filter head, before that I squeezed the ball cage a bit to hold the ball in place. I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

My understanding is that it's there for when the filter gets blocked. It then allows oil flow bypassing the filter. One person commenting on our filter heads argued that he'd rather have dirty oil around the engine than no oil.
