Probably pretty horrible because they don't have centre differentials. Put a turbo on either of those and they'd chew the driveline to pieces.

the machining in the first link is better than porn!!

if your going to ruin a mini making it 4wd, you might as well go the whole hog and bung a vtec turbo in there aswell *wink*
or before coming back to reality i was looking at the older vr6 4x4 golfs and thinking hmmmmm....
and btw the mazda b6 engine and 323gtr drive train does not fit *wink*

If I was going 4x4 I would go this route,

BTW - I took my buddy VTEC Pete out for a spin this weekend, and even though I am running her in, he gave it a name, the "Brocket"...cause I'm a brocket maaannn, nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah....

North of the Netherlands

There is also Achim's pickup:

But I am pretty sure turboing that would not be a good idea.

I'd rather look at a Sunny GTI-R driveline.
How about a Subaru 555, would that fit under a clubby front?

Edit: Should that be a Subaru Sti? Not really into Subarus.

Depends doesn't it, there's s dam sight more chance than 2wd. My current car is 4wd, 380+bhp, guess how much power I can use in 1st gear? Yep, 380bhp consistent 1.8sec 60fts?

Benny are you also running 18" mile wide tyres? These will have a big bearing on your launch too.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

But also have double the power. There only 225's, my point is, 4 165 tires are a dam site better than 2 when trying to put down 200horses

that fabrication is amasing, but wonder why none of these folk have replaced there solid prop with a tight viscous to relieve some stress from the drivetrain.

turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

Stoke-on-Trent. Duck.

Audi A3 1.8 turbo AWD drivetrain anybody? 450bhp, 369lbft.

Must admit, if space/ funds/ time allowed, I'd have a crack at ripping an Impreza WRXSTi to pieces and fitting it in to a (probably spaceframed) Mini.

Why bother going to all the hassle of fitting 4wd running gear. just put an engine at each end and have twice the power...

Why not? Chances are if you chopped the car about enough to put a 4wd system in, you would be in sva territory anyway.

apparently theres somthing about not having a different engine for each axle, at least not running at the same time.
