Hi all,

As I have seen some mad prices being floated about now adays for bits, I am just curious*tongue*
What would you boys pay now a days for a 1275 block, 998 blocks, untested gearbox, full untested Metro engines. As I may know where there is a lot to buy*happy*

Now I know there is an ebay price and the good old mates rates price, this is why I am looking for the real price.

Thanks Simon.

I have started posting on Instagram also my name on there is turbomk1golf

Nothing is impossible it just costs more and takes longer.

If I found anything under £100 I'd buy it regardless. Depending on the spec, I'd obviously pay a fair bit more

Just bought 3 short small bore engines for £60. Last short 1275 was about 50. £20-50 for gearboxes depending in condition.

Tbh most people just take the piss these days. John has a 20ft shipping container, we're slowly filling that as stuff comes up at the right money.

i bought my current low mileage 1275 metro engine a good 6 years back for £30, complete with head/gearbox etc. i was on the lookout for a 1275 bare block reccently, i was offered a few, but the more 'reasonably' priced ones were around 50-70 quid. look on ebay and bare blocks are advertised for anything up to £200 on occasion.

see this why im keeping my 1275 metro engine out my mini. I don't what the bores are like and that, but it ran well and il keep it for a spare. My mate offered me £50 for it or something and i told him to rod off!!
