A while ago I posted some pictures of my Scamp on here, well after a recommendation from Steve ( BENROSS) I thought I would put up some of the build pictures. I am currently awaiting on my engine from BENROSS so am hoping that this thing should fly considering its under 500Kg.

Here it is when we bought it .

Then the work began

this is as its sits now , ready for its new engine.

This is the old project , completed in 2009 and won a lot of national and local shows, now just sits here waiting for a sunny day *oh well*

As you can see the engine bay is still in mint condition but then again it has only done 3000 miles !

I will post some more pictures when the scamp has its new engine fitted *happy*

Right so after a month of not doing much, today myself and my dad managed to get the engine in .

Got most of the mounts connected , all the wires routed and exhaust is connected with LAMBDA .

So all that's left is connecting the rad and water hoses, air hoses and intercooler , fuel pipes and final wiring . *smiley* also playing with a ridiculous spoiler just for fun ? Still not decided on this yet ! Lol

The spoiler makes it look like a supermarket trolley.

Loving the spoiler !!

(I may have a similar one for my estate that is 18" wider than the car...)

A turbo scamp is such a good idea. Looks like there's lots of room for a nice intercooler as well.

Not yet , decided to take our time and set a goal for something each day we work on it, seams to be working well as so far had no problems, it will be running by next weekend , I can then get it straight to the rollers *smiley*.

Still un decided about that silly spoiler but in all fairness the whole car is a joke anyway so by making it more stupid I can't really spoil its looks ! And it might actually do something to keep the back end down
*oh well*

Yeah I remember , I was thinking about getting a cage fabricated professionally as my welder and skills are a bit limited *oh well*

Quick update . Scamp is booked in to be set up at Slarks on the 27th so I have a deadline now . Today we finished the wiring , plumbing and gave her a test, fired straight up, then sent a map down to the MJ and that worked . So everything is ready . However I did then decided to muck around with the cage and took a few pics of it off , as funny as this looks it would be very scary to drive it !

Have been a bit side tracked with another project, I know some on here are in to bikes so here it is .

Just got the scamp back from Slarks and its good news . 140bhp at 10psi *smiley*

He couldn't get it to boost past 10 psi and told me that he was able to get 150 bhp but changed the timing as he didn't want to risk blowing her up and she is currently very safe and not too far pushed.

Massive thanks to mr BENROSS for all the help and a cracking engine *smiley*

Videos to come but unfortunately I wasn't there when it was on the rollers so couldn't get that .

That's good power for 10psi.
