actually got the mini running today. all it was stopping it was the float chamber breather being blanked off. i took the pipe off to open the breather up and it fired straight away!!!! grinning from ear to ear now since it hasnt run really for 4 years. yes i got video evidence too. balls to the blower!!!

ahhhh. will check the gasket next time i get a chance. its a N/A converted carb so cant do the t piece trick. will take it out and double check the float, but at least im getting somewhere now! balls to the blower!!!

nah i havent drilled them brett. how do i connect it if i havent got the anti run on valve connection (#4 on the diagram)

1 and 3 are linked internal on a turbo carb but not an NA carb (red line ) the hole is there on the NA but is not complete all the way through .. 3 then needs to be blocked

There is no lean off on the NA carb so this is easy to do (drilling requires removing the carb)

righty. i went out today and realised the drilling dosnt go through from the plenum all the way. i decided to drill out the blank #4 and insert a stub and connected that to the t piece trick. ran loads better and even revved up. still coughing and spluttering a bit plus its a bit smokey, sure a correct needle and a set up on the rollers will be good!
