The time has come to breakup and sell my final mini parts :(

For those of you who do no know me, I starting my turbocharged mini adventure back in 2001 when I picked up a low milage metro turbo engine, with tonnes of spares for a grand total of £150! (they really were that cheap back then) - this soon found its way into my British Racing Green Mini and I had a 100ish bhp mini at age 18 - it was brilliant!

Over the years I poured lots of money into different engine/turbo configurations and regulaly met up with people at Avon Park/British mini showdown. I have fond memories of very hungover drag runs on the Sunday :)

From my little BRG road mini I moved on to a stripped out racing shell with roll cage in the hopes of doing track days. I didnt really enjoy this mini as much as the innocent looking BRG mini, but it was fun to build!

A few years ago I sold that shell but I kept all my engines/odds and ends in the hope one day I might build another - I simply cannot see myself doing this as my car tastes are so varied I think I'd like something different as a future project.

I'll have a hunt through my PC tonight, see if I can find some old avon park pictures :)

To those of you who know me as a forum memeber, this is a great forum and I have never found one like it for any other car, for those of you who know me in real life I have great memories of nights at avon park and hopefully will see you guys again someday.

As I start to pull apart my engine I'll pop a for sale thread on here first, TM members have priority before eBay wankers!

Regards
Daniel

*Edit - here is a link to a build thread I started for the blue track mini, I was pretty bad at keeping the thread up to date though*

My car tastes are very varied, from kit cars to Land Rovers and also a bit of Jap stuff. My current daily drive is a 94 RX7 BIG single turbo, I'm hoping to crack the big 500hp with addition of water injection and more boost :)

Project wise I'm currently restoring my old Defender 90 and next I really fancy doing a low/wide mk1 caddy pickup (basically a golf pickup)

Love jap
I left for 3 years for the RWD jap cars & lack of interest in the mini
It goes in full circle though as minis are fun tiny little cars *happy*

I've not really got any mini pictures on this PC, I'll have to have a look on my backup hard drive - I better not have lost them.

All I can find is this picture of my stripped out blue mini about 75% complete and on the drag strip at Avon Park probably about 2008?

Nice defender, wouldn't be without mine now.

Despite still collecting parts for my k-head turbo motor I am having serious cravings for a Davrian at the moment.
