so has anyone got a home built one?

my main concern is getting equal flow and to see that im grinding in a beneficial way lol

im thinking of doing at least a crude one that hopefully shows any difference in flow between cylinders for a given lift during the porting process

ive come across this i think is worth a read if your interested

http://www.dtec.net.au/Flowbench%20Design%20Guide.htm

be good to see what effect my untrained hand has on the head from std form as well as Manny other things along the way like intake plumbing intercoolers air filters etc

my main concern is getting equal flow and to see that im grinding in a beneficial way lol

i have a large workshop vacuum that i hope will be sufficient for the small mini head if not ill find a way

the part where it gets kinder tricky is the flow plate and having it calibrated to get good numbers

im thinking of punching some holes in an old piston for the vac pole and reading tubes ill then put one or more o rings in place of the rings to seal it up nicely witht he head on a block with a gasket in

the rest of the thing seams simple just the flow plate thingy thats kinder tricky but im sure if i find a guy with a proper flow bench will know how to sort it proppa like

anyways just seeing why ive never herd guys saying things about parts flowing whatever cfm not evan the head guys to me its all a bit of guss work with out any way to read whats hapening

Smart Guy!

mainland europe near ze germans

i have one as well ( like robert using a flow quik ).

i have spend a lot of time getting it tweaked and now it is pretty decent . ( as within 1% ) .
for a mini you need something that can measure small differences .

www. flowbenchtech.com will answer most all questions

That sir, is not rust, it is the progressive mass reduction system

its a way to measure the air volume flowing throw something like a cylinder head or air filter basically anything that has air or similar pass threw it

Right ok had a guess it was summin like that, do you have to seal the head up so that all air goes thru just the head? Plus i might sound stupid but surely u dont need something that big to find out air flow?

We built one using Flow Quick kit

http://www.audietech.com/

Not had much chance to use it yet but it does work!
