Afternoon chaps...

I've been doing a bit of investigating recently on intercoolers and it would seem there are millions of different types out there! Now I know they all pretty much do the same thing so really it's fitment/size that is the issue... I have seen quite a few that I like the look of but are simply too big or awkward to fit in to the space I have. I did however come across a mk 4 golf one that pretty much fits the bill size wise, this is the one...

I've been doing a fair bit of searching on here and the internet in general regarding intercoolers but not seen any posts/threads on this type. All I'm after guys is just a yay or a nay as to why you might or might not use this type.. I know the inlet and outlet are different sizes to the turbo outlet and plenum inlet so reducers will have to be installed somewhere along the piping route, but don't see that as a problem..

Any thoughts folks?

Dave.

I had the standard version of that type in a round nose and found the only place to mount it was behind the front grill, but this meant that the angled inlet was pointing straight at the block and any hose routing looked awful.

You can get one with the angled piece on the opposite side, so it points as the master cylinders, which works well, or one where both are pointing upwards.
