Im the new guy to this exciting forum & already mates with gav the red turbo mini guy. I have a scary looking mini sprayed up in trophy blue (deeper colour and more metalic added) with a smoothed in ERA turbo kit, deseemed etc.

And Im preparing all the other bits for it to become worthy of shredding the streets...God (my wallet) only knows when it'l be driveable, maybe when I meet my aim ::-

Ive been building the fat bastad for over a year now, and yes its a never ending story. The engine I want is a 1293 with Mirage turbo kit, SCbox, nitrous/methanol kit and a very fat intercooler. Hmmm, I can dream for now....

Has anyone used this type of Mirage kit, you all know the one, using the turbo from a renault5GTT?? Any one experienced it or recommendations, dish the dirt guys!

theres a few peeps on here using the mirage kit, greypride, sumpnut and a few others that ive forgotten. do a search for mirage on here and youll get a fair few results well worth reading......

me and iain have got these kits too, although we're still in the build stages....

nic's guide has it pretty much covered,

and the kit has been tried and tested by him and sumpnut and avon this year with good results

the t3 does certainly do the business though, decide on whether you want to cut the bulkhead or not, ?350 on a mirage kit is the same price of brand new t3 for example!!

I have the mirage kit and hopefully within the next few weeks should be starting the trail fitting of it Only thing i need to get is a few gaskets and a KAD engine steady.

i was on tour round a few pubs for work, i was nottingham, mansfield, lincoln and peterborough

went to magna carter by a big castle thing, lincoln poacher and some other by a river that i cant remember the name of!

some nice roads round there once you avoid the main ones that people drive REALLY slowly on
