I have to have my block rebored, the previous machining company f*cked up. now I have oval bores and wider near holes the head than down the bottom.
The block has only seen 4000KM after the rebuilt, the crank etc is brand new.
I am looking now for some help obtaining a new or used set of decent pistons with rings for a fair price. The car is for fast road use and running at about 7PSI.

Also suggestions on make, model and size are welcome. I have to start somewhere
I would appreciate all help *happy* all positive reactions will be rewarded with a picture of my sister.*tongue*

Whats your budget as the JE pistons from MorSpeed would be my choice.

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe.

well, the budget is something as 250 pounds on the pistons alone, but this may have to be adjusted.*blush*
money is oke, just need to convince the missus about the necessity of a turbo engine.

Omega pistons are very good, although quite expensive.

The 'mega' pistons are based on the casting of the genuine AE 'turbo' piston. I use them in my motor, no complaints or problems.

*****TD edit*****
Please see this topic for up-to-date info on the suitability of the minispares 'mega' range of pistons for turbo use:

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

simon is easy enough to get hold of if you keep trying *happy* he's usually busy so doesnt always answer the phone. never had him answer an email but he's full of good advice *happy*

omega cast would be a good option, they're quite cheap now.

I've gone for the forged omegas *wink*
