well here it is ! the shell is 90 % ok i have had to put on two outer sills, and i replaced both door skins as matter of course, the lad who had the shell prior to me made a bad effort in replacing the upper sill section its a piggin mess ! also the turbo box in the engine bay is wrong spot the mistake ! welding looks like flegm ! but other than that she is solid, i was going to paint her el paso beige with black roof but as i am not happy with the condition of it i am not going to make her a pretty road going car, more like a track day blow away chav mobile. she is going to be yellow with a green check roof (my old rally x colour scheme) i need a cage to go in before paint and also need a front screen :( i have got the dzus clips etc and the front end is ready for welding (going to be metal flip....just need a bonnet) Edited by Richie on 21st Oct, 2005.

I'd modify the 'wiper motor' side of the crossmember on your box before paint if i were you... you'll struggle with actuator and air intake hose clearance otherwise. On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:

You realy want to make some more room in that box on the RHD as we look at it, the air pipe from the filter to turbo will foul on it. Chop out that sharp edge and take it to that triangle flange coming from the wing.

Oh nice yellow paint on the Manifold etc, that will stink and smoke on start up and last less time that it took to apply!

rite i have marked up same as dangerous, will be cutting the next couple of days or so, does anyone know where i might get turbo`s checked or serviced, i got two entire units one which has been painted (WOT DA FOOK !) which the fan has a small amount of play on it (side to side) and the unpainted one, which has no play at all but the air intake tube was full of oil and on the fan blades which suggests oil seals..... i dont wanna get the engine built to find that the turbo units are shagged :( anyone able to help moi

ok have i cut this right ??? please dont laugh at my welding, the turbo box NOT ME but this unfortunately is my first try at gas welding, i used a section of an old boot skin to plate it i tacked it on each corner and spot welded it in, then brazed in the gaps (no doubt a bad job) this shot was prior to skimming back :)
