Hi, i have a 1977 mini but the V5 is old, how do i get a new one? Do i just send it off in my name? Previous Engine: 1040cc Morespeed engine, 1275 turbo head T2 Turbo Mirage Manifolds Megajolt

send the origional v5 away MAKE SURE YOU PHOTOCOPY IT FIRST !!!!!!!!! they will send back anew style one for you mate. if you have made any significant changes to the car, list em down, and when you get the car back it will have them on the spec........some people used to write the words Cooper "S" and got away with it !!! DVLA are a bit more strict now though.

nope thats fine, as long as the v5 portrays your car and is registered to you. the new v5`s are just set out a bit different Edited by Richie on 4th Dec, 2005.

I thought all the old v5's had to be in by last june,there was something on the telly about it and I sent all mine in

a good thing also is if you have id numbers on the car you can include these in a letter when you send off. the dvla store these numbers on file and the PNC so if ya car gets nicked the cops have more chance of tracing ya shell if its found if you have hidden numbers on it
