my megajolt unit is on its way wahoo, so you megajolt boys can expec a few qestions. ive read nics guide and read a few otherposts and it seems a bit straight forward, lol.
now im just trying to get me head around the crank trigger and pick up. im probably going to invest in the kad kit. i understand that the sensor needs to be mounted 90degrees or summot?

so does this mean say TDC is at 12oclock mount the missing tooth at 12oclock and fit sensor at 3oclock? is this right?

just incase any1 is wondering the kad trigger ring and sensor mount is 129+ vat so not 100% sure if using that or gonna make one, just incase does any1 know the part number of the sierra one that wil and ben use or what engine/model is i off

thanks in advance guys?

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

ouch! i cant believe i paid that much!

the missing tooth is placed at the tdc mark and the sensor goes 90deg before this, i.e tooth at 12, sensor at 9

Carl i think the ford trigger wheel is from the escort and sierra 1.8 and Nic is right on the money with regards the pickup location.

Missing tooth at TDC and Sensor at 9oclock or towards the front of the car.

I also ordered one from Brent Picasso.

Don't expect him to reply to any emails, or even confirm he has received your payment, or sent the ECU, poor communications I am afraid.

Also be ready to pay import duty when it arrives with you, I had to pay an extra £25 ish.

If you are after a Megasquirt (better than the Jolt IMO) then I think my brother is planning on buying a load soon I think.

Keep me posted on that Wil, I'd be interested in a MegaSquirt - fully built / tested or in parts?

i ordered it and paid for it via paypal on sunday evening, got an email of brent on mon or tues to say unit was on its way but they made a boo boo and have included a bag of screws instead of a multiplug and said hell post on out seperate.
got home from work today and theres a card to say my parcels in the post depot. and there import duty is £31.33.

Maybe he has smartened himself up then, as mine took over a month from payment to delivery, and I have never received any email at all from Brent, I have sent him 3 emails myself.

Hi,
For the Toothed wheel you could use an Omex one, about £30. Dont know how much the Ford one is.......?
For the Crank sensor use a Mondeo one, part number 6740816.
