ive just fitted my new steel flywheel set up and grey clutch and i cant get it to stop drive but the pedal feels ok, ive fitted the longer arm and ive also extended the rod to the slave cylinder, i had a pedal last night and i just tried it this morning and it worked, but ive washed it and then left it runnin for a while and its not disengaging again, if i put it in gear then start it with the clutch in it vibrates like mad, i dont think its a slave cylinder fault as its quite new, even if i add a little load by winding out the adjuster on the cover i still cant get it to go in to gear.

Maybe it's the Primary gear bush moved out and hitting on the crank making it sticky, they do that a lot!

Thats a problem I had, which is why I now run the Calver floating bush.
The vibration sounds odd though like a release bearing fault
Paul

I seriously doubt it!

Ummm Crank v Block. Not straight away though I'm sure as it normally take a while for this to raise it's ugly head.

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe.

Hi,
Have you reset the the two big nuts on the end of the wok? It sounds like a clearance problem as it's worst when warm. It may be your master cylinder, as the stronger cover will make the hydraulic system work harder, thus showing any weaknesses in the system.
Cheers,
Gavin. :)

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

right then, if the arm is fully going out and the clutch pedal is going full over! and the slave cyl is not slippingg back say...if you hold the clutch pedal down for 30 seconds.

& the large nut on the thrust bearing is adjusted correctley also the small clutch arm stop nut is correct !!!

if this is all ok you will have to pull the clutch out and check your work again iam afraid!

my moneys on the clutch plate on the primarg gear splines ar not free and the clutch plate is sticking on the splines

get rid of any burs debris etc on the splines and the plate these two items need to be free running

secondley it could be the the drive straps if you are using an lightend flywheel and you have not taken into account the thickness which was removed.
