I've just managed to strip down my T3 and have ordered a rebuild kit off Dan.

The only problem is that the turbine housing has a crack in it *frown* Apparent quite common...

Does anyone have a servicable spare or could you advise where I could get a refurbed or new one ?

BTW - I took my buddy VTEC Pete out for a spin this weekend, and even though I am running her in, he gave it a name, the "Brocket"...cause I'm a brocket maaannn, nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah....

i have a whole turbo here with play in shaft have not stripped it so could not say about condition

can you post a pic of the crack, if its near the waste gate then i think it may still be usable.

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

if its a metty t3, then the crack wont be near the wastegate, thats a seperate bolt on part iirc.... i know ALL t2's i have ever seen have been cracked at the wastgate tho, still perfectly usuable....

And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers!

The crack is in the central portion of the housing throught the radiused shoulder bit ?I guess this is where the exhaust gas first flows over the turbine wheel. This must be one of the parts that gets the hottest...I heard it is quite common and is caused by too lean a mixture
