hello, apart from a full rebuild what else would you recommend i do to my carb, upgraded dash pot spring? bi metallic strip thingy? thanks |

what does blocking off the by pass hose do, which one is the by pass hose, is it the one which would be a fuel over flow on n/a carb "Can I legally marry people now that I am ordained in the Church of the SubGenius?" aka i know jack sh"t

whats the original throttle disc like? already on the dashpot cover should add around 50bhp lol

why is a solid butterfly needed? ive been running the std type with the poppet valve in my car |

Its not strictly needed, but think about the percentage cross sectional area the poppet occupies at full throttle opening, and the disruption to flow.......

Yup bin it, solid butterfly comes with the carb rebuild kits.

It also leads to a sluggish dump/blow-off valve operation in many cases. You'll probably find your DV sounds a lot different if you change it... On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:

sorry anyone know what the hi-flow needle valve on avonbars website is needed for, or does this also come in the rebuild kit? |

The Avonbar item may be a modified needle valve orafice ? I was advised when having fuelling probs to drill the float bowl needle valve orafice to 2.9 mm to improve flow. This was a trick suggested by Avonbar. Perhaps it's this they're selling. Phil.
