Is your fuel pressure rising correctly with boost pressure?

If it is, the t piece trick will not solve your problems.

I would suspect your needle profile is perhaps incorrect and needs some work.

Give us some more detail, e.g. has the car always done this or is it a developng fault?? Spec of engine etc........

It seems that this fault has always been there as the engine has never been very driveable mid range, you either had to drive it slow of flat out.

Three times i have been on the rollers and the tuning guy has always said its suffering with lack of fuel, eventhough the needle has had so much removed from it.

The engine spec is 1293cc full blown Morespeed head, 11cc Omega dished pistons, matched turbo manifold and a full width front intercooler. The last time i rollered it it was 134bhp (wheels)at 15psi but wasnt very good mid range at all.

The next thing im going to change the weekend is the module on the dizzy and to reset the float level in the carb.

Its that undriveable mid range i never use the damn thing!!!

Oh yeah i have also tried the Avonbar hi flow carb inlet valve...

Have you added some fuel pressure gauges to check that the fuel pressure is behaving correctly? I think this is the key here. You might find that your fuel return to tank is too restrictive, which is causing problems at the fuel pressure regulator.

Hi,
Are you using the standard plenum with the brass restictor fitted?
Cheers,
Gavin. :)

Yes still using the standard plenum and 8mm copper pipe for feed and return. I have noticed that the return is a nice flow of fuel back into the tank.

Im going to rig up a fuel pressure gauge the weekend and check that the fuel pressure is rising to 8/9psi when the boost is just coming in.

My metty fuel pressure was 3 on idle and approx 10 when the boost came in,but didn't run very well so done the T peice trick and blocked of the lean pipes, and it's all fine now
