Ebay intercooler pipes

Hi,

What is everyones opinion of these pipes that seem to be 0on ebay all the time.

I have just bagged my cossie 4x4 intercooler and with the improving daylight/weather i should be fitting it soon.

Would be pipes be ok you reckon, except for the price

i'd reckon you could get the bits you need cheaper. then again you may be able to make 2 kits out of it. I'm sure a "kit" of specfic parts to fit and intercooler to a mini would fetch a good price.

plusthey're the wrong size for a cossie cooler. they have 61mm end caps on them. I've had to use some reducers and stuff to get it all to connect up. The cheapest way i found was to get a local chav exhaust place to bend me some 2" stainless to the shapes i needed with a couple of 60-50 reducers.

Yeh i know i was going to buy some reducers off deamon tweaks or something!

just thought they'll look good in the engine bay (not that i'm a tart or anything!)

hehe, dont worry i'm a tart aswell dude. swapped my stainless ones for nice bling alloy ones now...lol

i found ebay was a cheaper source for all the silicone i needed, lots of companies doing it mail order on there. there's a really good place in walsall aswell, they keep shitloads in stock all different sizes/bends/reducers aswell as the alloy pipe...called MPC (midland performance centre)

Seems pricy, merlin motorsport ( www.merlinmotorsport.com ) supply universal samco hoses and alloy tubing that they can also supply with bends. Then its a case of polishing the alloy.

Ideally you want a lip on the ends of the pipe to stop them blowing off, like the hose joiners on Merlin.
