I ordered ARP conrod bolts and big end/mains bolts for my turbo engine.

is it essential to run a centre main strap? Wouldnt ARP bolts do the same job if not better or is it to stop flex?

ARP only do studs/nuts for the mains. Direct replacement. Fit em!!! |

Install studs first, then fit the main caps. The add nuts and tighten.
