hi i have have a 1380 i would like to know how difficult it is and how much it would cost roughly to convert it to a turbo

Jimmy, There is no specific need to get turbo exhaust valves.

I run 11cc dished omega pistons and chambered head to give 8.3-1 cr, fixed 26 degrees timing using a standard electronic dizzy with weights welded (soon changing to megajolt). R5 turbo intercooler, not too difficult really. You should find all the info you need on this site. -MINI CLUBMAN 1380 TURBO- |

why was sodium ex valves fitted then went std boost was 8psi max ????????

I personally don't use the sodium valves and i've certainly run more than 8psi. The advance curve will be different for every application, it depends on cam choice, compression, boost etc. No two engines are the same, it needs to ne tailored to each application. Phil. |
