I'm, sure you know but for anyone elses benefit you need to make sure you thoroughly wash off the packing oil that ARP use, paraffin or another suitable solvent will do, then use the ARP supplied lube and torque settings.

same hear Jim, I've never washed any of the packing oil off parts, as long as the parts look clean on would go the.

is it the arp studs that require the head to have its stud holes chamferred or slightly countersunk?

can't speak for the arps, but it is a good idea to slightly countersunk your stud holes any way for what ever you use :) Edited by Miniwilliams on 7th Mar, 2006. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

its common practice on any surfac ethat has a bolt pulling on it with high torque loads, helps to p[ravent the top thread pulling up and distorting the gasket,
