Erm.

Silly keeping it FWD really, as would be a 9 (or certainly 10) second car too probably if i went mid engined, but to me its kind of not really a mini any more then, and i wanted to built the ultimate (for me, obviously everyone likes different things) mini without it stopping it driving like a normal mini.

That wont drive like a mini.

Nice project, but he'll probably just pull the shell to peices.

not being an expert on turbo's but surley that turbo is much to large to work on a 2L engine, even with gas?

Not to my taste but if he can do it then fair play to him. TBH my ultimate mini would basically be a miglia on the road!! Or possibly a carbon shelled car sorry about the OT

So that's where chips been all these years.

Looks like a nice engine build but i'd personally prefer it in an early vauxhall. Don't really like sticking vaux engines in minis... surely they're too heavy and bugger up the handling?

Nope

Rich and Chip both have vauxhall turbo engined Minis.

For those that doubt the engine... its being built at AC Dodds... and has all the right bits.

What it will do on the 1/4 mile remains to be seen *happy*

Because its a friendly website where you can talk about anything and everything. Its more car enthauists than fords, although thats the main core obviously.

Its also one of the most popular car fourms in the world lol.

Oh and a fair few people on there like minis :)

I did see that movie too

Also, there's no such thing as a Maguire shell. They are just Chassises.

Herefordshire

just read this on 16vmini

"Was building a 500-600bhp mini 16v:

http://www.passionford.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2186579

But now ive decided to scrap that idea, use that engine in something else (my nova probably) and build the mini up with a TB'd XE instead as i think it will be more fun on track that way round. "
