A two day old little boy (no name yet). The missus is still letting me work on the car in my petrnity leave too, and it dosen't get better than that.

You'll be suprised how quickly he will be out there "helping" you in the garage, my little brother when aged 4 helped me change a rear suspension beam, passing spanners and jacking up the jack for me. He can also now (age 5) tell the difference between steel and aluminium..........he loves helping in the garage, has his own overalls too, although he seems to be able to get his face as dirty as his hands somehow, much to the disapproval of his mum.

I remember handing a spanner to my nephew when he was 4(ish) and him immediately using it as a hammer on an alloy wheel. Lucky for me it was my brothers car and even luckier we weren't spotted :) |
