Just wondering what are the two internal diameter sizes of fuel lines fitted to minis, as i understand there are two sizes is this correct? Why is there a need for the larger internal diameter pipe and when is it used? Any info would be great.

Also while on the subject of fuel the fuel pipe going into my "Pickup" fuel tank has sheard off at the point it enters the tank, where is the best place to get a new one of these pipes from. Also may be a stupid question but why does the pipe enter the fuel tank half way up its side, sholdnt it be on the bottom of the tank makes sense to me.

Many thanks barkiboi

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

8mm id feed & return pipe is more than up to the job!

try your local B&Q look on the plumbing section for copper microbore piping for heating systems.

some peeps go other routes sizes for spacific purposes.

your tank! right where this pipe goes in halfe way up may be for practical purposes

but i can assure you that there is another pipe which is internall & goes all the way nearly to the btm ofthe tank with a small filter on

you can braze a nesw pipe in there But..... you must remove the tank and wash this out with soap & water to remove all the fuel & fumes first.

if you are unsure get some one whe can do this who knows the score.

good luck!*wink*

Hi,
From your description I'm guessing it's an estate/van tank? If so this is the part you want *wink*

Cheers,
Gavin :)
